We’re excited to announce that the Yellowstone Forever Institute is offering programs this winter!
This winter season we will offer our incredibly popular Winter Wolf Discovery program in partnership with Yellowstone National Park Lodges! We’re offering 11 sessions between December 15 and February 21, all based at the newly renovated Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel.
The health and safety of our participants and staff is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and revise our policies based on the latest health recommendations.
Join us for a Winter Wolf Discovery
Winter is, without a doubt, the best time to view wolves in Yellowstone. The cold, clear days and stark background of snow make it easier to spot wolves and other wildlife.
That’s why our Winter Wolf Discovery package is the perfect program whether you’re planning your first or tenth trip to Yellowstone! The opportunity to see wolves alongside an expert naturalist is something you just can’t pass up.
Included in the package are four nights at the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, all breakfasts and lunches, transportation, and expert guiding from a Yellowstone Forever naturalist. You’ll learn about the wolves of Yellowstone and their storied reintroduction to the park, the fascinating ecosystem they inhabit, and the wildlife that surround them during three full days in Yellowstone’s northern range and famous Lamar Valley.
And when we say full, we mean full! Get ready for early mornings, snowshoeing adventures, plenty of time spent behind the digiscope and camera, and lots of exciting information about wolves in Yellowstone.
Exploring Yellowstone Safely
We’re taking the health and safety of participants and staff seriously and are constantly updating and revising our policies based on the latest health recommendations.
Some of the steps we are taking to ensure safety in the Winter Wolf Discovery program include requiring participants to wear masks indoors and in vehicles, have their temperature checked daily, and maintain 6-foot social distancing practices during the program. Read more about what we’re doing, and what’s expected of participants here.
Looking Forward
As we look forward to 2021, we are planning to offer additional educational programming, including expanded Lodging & Learning programs, Private Tours, and our world-class Field Seminars. We will continue to share information with you as soon as it’s available, and encourage you to sign up for our email newsletter for the latest updates!
We can’t wait to get back into the park doing what we love this winter — providing people an opportunity to forge deep and meaningful connections with the park. We hope you’ll join us on a Winter Wolf Discovery!
