Enjoy your days fly-fishing the incredible waters of Yellowstone National Park. The class covers the basics to more advanced techniques both in the classroom and out in the field, with most of the instruction being streamside and in the stream. Learn about the basics such as equipment selection and use, fishing knots, and casting, in addition to more advanced topics such as entomology, “reading the water”, and advanced fishing techniques.

About the instructor
Shalon Hastings is a fly-fishing guide and the owner of Fly FisHer Adventures, a fly-fishing instruction business in Montana. Her main fishing grounds are around Helena, MT where you can find her fishing, guiding, and instructing on the Missouri, Little Blackfoot, and Blackfoot rivers as well as the many smaller streams and lakes that are near Helena. She volunteers her time to serve on the Mending Waters Montana board that serves US Veterans and the Pat Barnes Missouri River Trout Unlimited board. Shalon is the founder of Last Chance Fly Gals, a local fly-fishing networking group for women primarily in Helena but that anyone be a part of.
