A Yellowstone Forever Institute Field Seminar is a great way to experience Yellowstone in a new way, and the quietly beautiful winter season is the perfect time to connect with the park on a deeper level. Winter Field Seminars kick off in late November and extend through late March. Learn about a specific topic that interests you, try a new skill, or explore park treasures that are off the beaten path.

These educational programs will help you enhance your enjoyment, understanding, and appreciation of the wildlife, ecosystem, and history of the park. Join us on a journey of discovery!

New this year: All winter Field Seminars have lodging built into the program price. You will see rates for triple occupancy (lodging with two other participants), double occupancy (lodging with one other person), and single occupancy (cabin to yourself). Double and single occupancy options have limited availability on a first-come, first-served basis. All lodging is at the spectacular Lamar Buffalo Ranch!

How to Register:

1. Preview our winter season offerings on our website or in our 2019-2020 Winter Catalog.
2. Register on our website or via phone at 406.848.2400 (the sooner the better as popular programs sell out fast!) Yellowstone Forever supporters receive a $15 discount on Field Seminars. If you’re not yet a supporter, you can join when you register for your program or beforehand online. Financial aid may be available for your program.
3. After registering you will receive a confirmation email with detailed information about your program, including our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Please read through your paperwork and return any requested information as soon as possible.
4. Pack your bags and prepare to be inspired in Yellowstone!
