While Yellowstone is covered in a deep blanket of snow, we’re already planning for a summer full of adventure. Our Summer 2020 educational programs are now open for registration!
Warm daytime temperatures, abundant wildlife, and long daylight hours provide ideal conditions for exploring Yellowstone’s wonders. No matter what area of the park interests you, the Yellowstone Forever Institute can help you gain a deeper connection while you’re here.
2020 summer season will be packed with dozens of exciting Field Seminars from May to September. Field Seminars examine specific aspects of the park ecosystem through a combination of fun field excursions and engaging classroom presentations. Our seminar leaders are experts in their fields and include naturalists, scientists, professors, photographers, writers, historians, and artists. Choose from a wide variety of topics, from photography and wildlife watching, to hiking and fly fishing.
This summer we’re offering these unique types of Field Seminars:
Day trips led by expert naturalists based in Gardiner, MT
Multi-day programs based at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch that delve deep into a topic or activity
Similar to the Traditional Field Seminars, except these multi-day programs based at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch include all meals
These packages include all meals, a private cabin, transportation to and from Bozeman, and optional lodging the evening prior to the program
These 4-5 day programs venture into the park’s spectacular backcountry under the guidance of a highly experienced instructor

- Pack your bags and prepare to be inspired in Yellowstone!
Multi-day Field Seminars are based out of the iconic Lamar Buffalo Ranch field campus. When you register online, you will see rates for a Shared Cabin Triple (lodging with two other participants), Private Cabin Double (lodging with one other participant of your choice), and Private Cabin Single (cabin to yourself). Private single and double cabins have limited availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
