Bison and Steam at Midway Geyser Basin

Two Yellowstone icons come together. Bison will often place themselves in and around hot springs and steam to stay warm during Yellowstone’s harsh winters. These channels dump over 5 million gallons of water a day into the Firehole River. Thank you to renowned photographer Tom Murphy for sharing this excellent video with us.
