Wildlife Conservation: Bison, Bears, & Cougars
Wildlife research and monitoring is one of the most important aspects of Yellowstone’s mission to protect and preserve the park’s dynamic ecosystem. Yellowstone biologists perform this vital work in a number of ways and for a number of different species. Canon funding specifically provides vital support for the Cougar Project, Bear Conservation & Management, and the Bison Conservation & Transfer Program. Their important work is invaluable to our understanding of these remarkable animals and informs future management and conservation efforts. Canon has provided support for other wildlife research in previous years, including the Yellowstone Bat Study.
Old Faithful Livestream Webcam
One of the most visited webpages across all National Park Service websites, the Old Faithful and Upper Geyser Basin Livestream Webcam, has captivated millions of Yellowstone enthusiasts from around the world. Viewers are able to watch eruptions of Old Faithful, Beehive, Lion, and other geysers in the Upper Geyser Basin as well as any wildlife that may be wandering in the area. You never know what you may see, like the Wapiti Wolf Pack roaming through the basin or a herd of bison chasing off a grizzly bear! Mounted on top of the Old Faithful Inn, Canon provides this technology with crystal clear views of one of the most dynamic natural wonders on the planet.
