Audience: Middle School and High School Formal & Informal Educators

Cost: Program Fees, Food, Lodging, and Transportation in the park (during the class) are all covered. If selected, $200 refundable deposit is required to hold your spot.

Audience: High School Formal & Informal Educators (preference for formal educators)

Cost: $762 (limited scholarships available)

Dive into Yellowstone’s ecological complexity through a science-based exploration of its dynamic landscapes, wildlife, and conservation stories. This workshop emphasizes core practices like questioning, modeling, data analysis, and argumentation, helping educators:

  • Observe and Connect: Study the interplay between wildlife and landscapes in iconic areas like Lamar Valley.
  • Teach with Purpose: Align field and classroom learning with NGSS for three-dimensional teaching that can be applied to middle and high school classrooms and nonformal education settings.
  • Incorporate Authentic Science: Use data and resources from the park to enhance classroom instruction. Participants will engage with cutting-edge curricula from organizations like BSCS Science Learning, HHMI BioInteractive, and 3D Molecular Designs to make scientific complexity accessible for students.
