What Information We Collect and How We Use this Information:

E-mail Subscriber and Donor Information

Yellowstone Forever gives visitors the option of signing up for our e-mail list in order to receive updates about our programs and efforts to support the world’s first national park — Yellowstone, and ways to support us. Our sign-up form requires subscribers to provide their personal contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), mailing address, and other similar information. We store this personal information in a secure database that only Yellowstone Forever and Blackbaud, Inc. (formerly Convio), our third-party fundraising and constitute management service provider have access to.

We use this information to: send you a welcome e-mail and periodic information about Yellowstone Forever and its activities; customize your engagement through personalized Site and e-mail content; send invitations for you to take part in programs and events located near you or otherwise tailor our communications to you; respond to questions you submit; contact you as needed about Site updates and other changes; engage in our internal analyses, site audits, fraud monitoring, and development of new features that will improve the Site and allow us to assess how we are doing fulfilling Yellowstone Forever’s mission; and allow you to participate in any contests we host, provided that you may need to share additional information in order to take part. Blackbaud, Inc.’s use and access is limited to the scope of services it provides us.

Yellowstone Forever also provides visitors the ability to support our work through an online donation portal. In order to do so, visitors must indicate the amount of their donation and provide us with their name, mailing address, e-mail address, and other personal information. This information is stored on a secure database that only Yellowstone Forever has access to. We only use it in order to process and acknowledge your donation, whether on a one-time basis or monthly basis if so authorized.

To complete a donation through our donation portal, donors also must enter their credit card information into fields that are securely encrypted and processed through Blackbaud, Inc., whose services include credit card processing. Alternatively, donors have the option of completing their online donation by using PayPal. Note that Yellowstone Forever does not, itself, store or have access to any credit card information you submit here to complete your donation.

Donors additionally have the option to join our e-mail list, in which case we’ll use your personal information as described above.

Information Collected Through Online Park Store

Yellowstone Forever operates an online park store where individuals can purchase educational materials and register for programs that will enhance their park experience. In order to purchase materials or register for programs through the store, individuals must complete an online transaction form. The form requires visitors to provide their name, contact information including e-mail address, and credit card information that are securely encrypted and processed through Magento, a recognized third-party e-commerce platform provider, and only used to fulfill your request. To fulfill a request, Magento provides Yellowstone Forever with your name and contact information including e-mail, which we store on a secure database. Magento also submits your credit card information to PayPal for secure processing in order to complete the transaction. Yellowstone Forever does not, itself, store or have access to any credit card information you submit here to complete your donation.

Visitors to our online park store additionally have the option to join our e-mail list, in which case we’ll use your personal information as described above.

We do not collect any other personally identifiable information through the Site unless you provide it to us. However, if you submit such information to us, you represent that you have the authority to do so and allow us to use it according to this Policy. If you give us false or inaccurate information, or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that your information is false or inaccurate, we have the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site.

If you would like to review the personal information we’ve collected about you and/or make corrections, please do not hesitate to contact us. Requests are usually processed within several business days.
