Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern plays an important role in Yellowstone Forever’s finance and accounting operations. This position processes payables, receivables, revenue entries and other month end reconciliations and associated entries. The ability to perform fast-paced tasks with a strong attention to detail is essential. Success in this position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.

YCC Logistics and Media Associate
Location: Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Seasonal/Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Yellowstone Forever, the park’s nonprofit education and philanthropic partner, in partnership with Yellowstone National Park, is seeking an individual to work with the Yellowstone Youth Conservation Corps program as part of the 2026 summer season. During this 14-week term this position will participate in a wide variety of projects while learning about the National Park Service (NPS) as a career path.

The Youth Conservation Corps Logistics and Media Associate assists National Park Service staff with completing important park work by assisting with deferred maintenance projects, education lessons, and recreation opportunities for teen-aged participants. One main project is to take, collect, and organize photos to create a multi-media presentation for two end of session banquets and weekly postings on the established blog site. Serving with the YCC program in Yellowstone requires a good deal of physical exertion while assisting with work projects and hiking in the backcountry.

Park Store Manager
Location: Greater Yellowstone National Park Area, Wyoming/Montana

The Park Store Manager plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day Yellowstone Forever Park Store operations in assigned stores at visitor centers and contact stations around the greater Yellowstone National Park area. The Park Store Manager oversees staff assigned to specific stores as defined by the Park Stores Operations Manager and is responsible for the daily execution of effective retail operations. To include training staff, scheduling staff, inventory management, daily/weekly/monthly reporting, store cleanliness and presentation, tracking and relaying key performance indicators (KPIs), and overseeing related systems, working to provide the highest quality visitor experience possible. Closely coordinating with the Park Stores Operations Manager and Retail Operations and Visual Merchandising Manager, the Park Store Manager is also responsible for executing the retail merchandising, marketing, and communication plans in their assigned Park Store and proactively looking for ways to enhance the visitor experience and developing recommendations to senior retail staff in the process. Additionally, the Park Store Manager will assist in training, coaching and developing Park Store Associates. Success in this position requires excellent supervisory skills and customer engagement, experience capturing and analyzing KPIs and managing core operational systems, unrelenting pursuit of excellence, and a drive for continual growth and improvement.

Park Store Assistant Manager

The Park Store Assistant Manager plays a critical role in the field overseeing the active engagement, greeting, and recommendations to our customers. The Asst. Manager is the “face” of Yellowstone Forever to our customers and visitors in our day-to-day Yellowstone Forever Park Store operations. As a brand ambassador, the Asst. Manager must be a knowledge expert about Yellowstone Forever and our retail product, institute courses and instruction offerings, and our philanthropy efforts and supporter programs. Ensure that there is a continual effort to provide the highest quality visitor experience possible. The Park Store Associate has a critical role in the daily operation of Yellowstone Forever Park stores at visitor centers and contact stations throughout the Greater Yellowstone National Park Area. Product Support Manager
Location: Gardiner, MT

The Retail team of YF is focused on delivering exceptional experiences in our stores both in the park and in surrounding areas and on our e-commerce site. The Product Support Manager plays a critical support role in all aspects of Yellowstone Forever’s retail operations, and is responsible for performing an array of duties including, assisting the Warehouse Manager in all warehouse related job duties, assisting the Purchasing and Ecommerce Manager with purchasing of products, managing in-store fundraising and membership efforts, and managing the overall accuracy of product inventory accuracy. The Product Support Manager must enjoy the physical challenges of this job, be detail oriented and accurate, have excellent computer and communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude during very busy periods. This position must be flexible with an array of varied experiences that allow them to support all phases of retail operations. This position must enjoy interacting with all areas of retail operations requiring them to work collaboratively with other retail managers.

Volunteer

Lamar Campus and Program Volunteer
Location: Lamar Buffalo Ranch, Yellowstone National Park

The Lamar Campus and Program Volunteer support YF programs and the Lamar Buffalo Ranch campus. The Lamar Buffalo Ranch is an off-grid campus on the national historic registry. It is located in Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park. The campus is a co-used site used by the National Park Service and Yellowstone Forever. It provides a location for adult students and youth groups to stay in comfortable lodging during their stay while participating in YF and NPS programs. The Park also has employees housed on site and runs stock, law enforcement, EMS, research and maintenance activities from the site.

Overlook Campus and Program Volunteer
Location: Gardiner, MT

The Overlook Campus and Program Volunteer supports YF Programs and the Yellowstone Overlook field campus. The Yellowstone Overlook field campus is based in Gardiner and provides a location for adult students and youth groups to stay in comfortable lodging during their stay while participating in YF programs. Campus and Program Volunteers welcome participants and groups, orient them to Yellowstone Forever and the facility, maintain and clean campus facilities. Campus and Program Volunteers also provide linen service and basic maintenance services at the Yellowstone Overlook field campus. Weekly schedule depends upon Yellowstone Forever’s needs, the check-in and turnover needs on Campus, and program schedule.

Shuttle Driver Volunteer
Location: Bozeman, MT

The Shuttle Driver Volunteer plays a critical role in Yellowstone Forever’s operations, supporting program shuttles. This position welcomes students and chaperones, orients them to Yellowstone Forever, drives the 14-passenger mini-bus for shuttles between Bozeman and program and lodging locations in Yellowstone and the greater Yellowstone area. The ability to drive safely and responsibly is essential. Success in this position requires a welcoming demeanor, being a responsible and independent worker, and being able to assist with the needs of various participants.
