Chief Development Officer
Location: Bozeman, MT
Full-Time / Exempt
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) is responsible for managing daily operations for Yellowstone Forever’s philanthropy programs. The CDO will build strength across philanthropy, implement best practices and policies, elevate our fundraising aspirations and achievements, and inspire the team to achieve success with a strategic vision through sustainable and impactful fundraising techniques and programs. The CDO coordinates and solicits gifts, works with the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Regional Development Officers, and Foundation Relations Manager to develop solicitation strategies for major donor support. The CDO will ensure all philanthropy efforts are strategically focused on park priorities and supporting Yellowstone Forever’s operations. The CDO will be a leader, team player, strategic thinker, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is responsible for leading a professional and collaborative culture within the organization and providing professional growth and mentorship opportunities for staff.

Field Educator

Seasonal / Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Dates: In-person (paid) training is required and will begin December 4, 2023. Training will run through December 15, 2023. Programs begin mid-December and go through February.
Seasonal Field Educators are part of a dedicated educational staff committed to connecting learners from across the world to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem through delivery of exceptional educational experiences. They are knowledgeable about Yellowstone’s natural, geologic, and cultural history and are experienced outdoor leaders who create a comfortable learning environment while keeping their learners safe on programs. Field Educators are frontline staff responsible for positively representing Yellowstone Forever through program delivery and program support.
Philanthropy
Regional Development Officer (East/Midwest)
Location: Bozeman, Montana (Hybrid)
Full-Time / Exempt
The Regional Development Officer is a mission-critical role serving as the key steward for a portfolio of current and prospective philanthropists in support of Yellowstone National Park. This position will be expected to meet annual revenue goals by identifying, engaging, cultivating, and ultimately soliciting major gifts that advance the organizational mission, create meaningful impact in the lives of donors, and benefit Yellowstone National Park. This position is an opportunity for a highly motivated development professional to build and manage a portfolio of donors capable of making five- to seven-figure gifts. The Regional Development Officer will be responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio consisting of approximately 150-200 individual major gift prospects located primarily in the eastern and midwestern regions of the United States. The Regional Director of Philanthropy will have annual revenue expectations, with the goal of securing a minimum of $1,000,000 in new gifts and commitments the first year, and more in successive years. The position reports to the Chief Development Officer for Yellowstone Forever.

Park Store Associate

The Park Store Associate is a critical role in the daily operation of Yellowstone Forever Park stores at visitor centers and contact stations throughout the Greater Yellowstone National Park Area. The associate represents “the face” of the organization by working on the front lines and often in partnership with naturalist rangers from the National Park Service. Associates assist and engage visitors with purchases of educational products, explain our supporter program and recruit new members, and help answer visitor questions about Yellowstone National Park. Success in this position requires outstanding visitor/customer service skills and a passion for Yellowstone National Park and its preservation and sharing that passion with others.
Volunteer
Campus and Program Volunteer
Location: Lamar Buffalo Ranch, Yellowstone National Park or Yellowstone Overlook Field Campus, Gardiner, MT

The Campus and Program Volunteer supports the YF Institute field seminars and Yellowstone Overlook field campus. Each YF Institute field seminar is supported by one of our Campus and Program Volunteers. Field seminars are based at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch field campus, the Yellowstone Forever classrooms in Gardiner, or another location in the park. The Yellowstone Overlook field campus is based in Gardiner and provides a location for adult students and youth groups to stay in comfortable lodging during their stay while participating in YF programs. Campus and Program Volunteers welcome and host students, orient them to Yellowstone Forever and the facility, assist instructors in logistical aspects of courses, drive the 14-passenger mini-bus for all field trips, assist in risk management in the field, and maintain and clean campus facilities. Campus and Program Volunteers also provide linen service and basic maintenance services at the Yellowstone Overlook field campus. Success in this position requires a welcoming demeanor, being a responsible and independent worker and being able to assist with the needs of various students. Depending upon the needs of Yellowstone Forever, Campus and Program Volunteers may spend more time or less on certain duties.
