This single-day workshop offers a gentle, immersive way to connect with Yellowstone in the wintertime. Through close observation, quiet reflection, and creative exploration, participants will focus on the park’s smallest details, natural patterns, and seasonal stillness. Open to all levels of experience and artistic mediums, this laid-back workshop provides watercolor, colored pencils, acrylic paints, and pastels. Come create, slow down, and share space with others who find meaning in a quieter connection to the natural world!

DAY 1

A DAY IN THE FIELD

Beginning at 10:00 a.m., the day will be spent exploring sites along Yellowstone’s Northern Range, with time to pause, sit, and read the landscape. Once a location sparks curiosity and inspiration, participants will settle in with their materials, engage in open-ended artistic expression, and create alongside one another. The day will conclude with an optional evening show-and-tell, offering space to share reflections, creative work, and how this experience may have deepened each person’s connection to the landscape.
