Make the most of your winter trip to Yellowstone with a Yellowstone Day Adventure led by one of our Yellowstone Forever Field Educators.
As the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park, Yellowstone Forever is committed to making meaningful, educational experiences in the park accessible. Yellowstone Day Adventures are intentionally priced to reduce barriers to participation.
These educatorâled winter wildlife watching tours immerse participants in Yellowstoneâs snowy landscapes, revealing the stories behind the parkâs remarkable winter ecology, wildlife adaptations, and iconic geothermal features. Tours are offered most Fridays from 12/19/2025 – 2/27/2026. Each tour departs from the Yellowstone Forever Headquarters in Gardiner, MT, with an additional pickup available at the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel on our way into the park. Please select your preferred meeting location when booking.

- Educational programming with a Yellowstone Forever Field Educator
- High powered scopes and binoculars
- Other field equipment, as needed
- Park entry fees (for the duration of the program)
What to bring:
- Meals are not included. Please bring breakfast (or eat beforehand), lunch, snacks, and water.
- Dress in layers for changing weather conditions.
- Camera optional (note: this is not a photographyâfocused tour).
- Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated.
