Private Tours
Make the most out of your trip to Yellowstone with a winter tour with one of Yellowstone Forever’s educators. We offer four winter tour options from wildlife watching to cross-country skiing. All programs will connect participants to the stories behind the fascinating sights and sounds of Yellowstone.
All private tours include:
- Delicious field breakfast and lunch catered by Tumbleweed Bookstore & Cafe in Gardiner, MT
- Hot beverage service
- In-park and local pick-up, transportation via a 14-passenger minibus and/or transit van (Pick-ups only available in Gardiner, MT (up to 10 miles out of town) and Mammoth Hot Springs)
- High powered scopes and binoculars (Digiscoping equipment available)

Winter Wonderland for Families | This tour is designed for families with children (ages 14 and under). This educational tour focuses on wildlife watching along Yellowstone’s famous northern range and Lamar Valley. Read the itinerary here.

Snowshoe and Sightseeing Expedition – This tour is designed for those who want to explore Yellowstone in winter by snowshoe. This tour incorporates wildlife, history, ecology, and geology into snowshoe activities along the northern range, in addition to discussing issues that affect the Yellowstone ecosystem. Private Photography Tour – This tour is designed for photographers of all skill levels – beginners to professional – who want to learn how to beautifully capture Yellowstone in the winter. Dressed in white, Yellowstone in winter offers a truly raw canvas for photography. Read the itinerary here.
